1.      WHAT IS MEDIA IN TEACHING? HOW MANY TEACHING MEDIA TYPES DO YOU KNOW?

Media in teaching means all tools that can be used by the teacher in the teaching and learning process to deliver teaching materials to the student. Shortly, When the media delivers educational messages or information that includes learning purposes, it can be called teaching media. There are many types of teaching media nowadays but broadly divided into audio, visual, and audiovisual. Audio is a media that just can be heard such as podcast, radio, or records, in English teaching audio is usually used to improve listening skills and the latest in audiovisual media with component sound and images. This type of media has better capabilities because it includes both audio (listening) and visual (seeing) media types.

 

2.      WHY TEACHER NEEDS MEDIA IN TEACHING

Media in teaching has a very important role. It helps the teacher explaining the material to the student to understand the material easily. Because the use of media can also increase or even arouse passion for learning. Learning can be done without feeling bored by the students with this teaching media.

 

3.      WHAT ARE THE CRITERIA OF GOOD TEACHING MEDIA

there are many criteria of good teaching media but the most important thing in teaching media is that it can stimulate students' enthusiasm to learn and even participate actively, but still be able to convey the material effectively and its use must also be efficient.

 

4.      DO YOU THINK THAT TEACHING MEDIA NEEDS TO BE DEVELOPED

Technology that continues to develop also has an impact on the world of education, now the learning media are also more varied, learning media must be continuously developed so that the learning process can be carried out effectively, interactively, fun, and motivates students to participate in the learning process actively. Maybe currently teaching using video still looks effective, but of course, this will not be the same as in the coming years. Therefore teaching media needs to be developed.
