The Answer

1. teaching media mean all tools which may be used by teacher to deliver teaching material to students in teaching learning process to reach certain learning goal.

there are 6 types

a. Audio

This type of audio learning media can be used to transmit audio messages from the message source to the message recipient. Audio media is closely related to the sense of hearing. Judging from the nature of the message received, audio media can convey both verbal (spoken language or words) and non-verbal messages (sounds and vocalizations). Examples of audio media include radio, tape recorders, telephones, language laboratories, and others.

b. Visual

Types of visual learning media are media that rely on visual vision. This type of learning media displays the material using a projection tool or projector and the message will be conveyed in a visual form.

c. Audio Visual

This type of audio-visual learning media is a medium capable of displaying sound and images. Judging from the context, audio visual media can be divided into 2, namely silent audio-visual media, such as silent TV or a series of sound films, and motion audio-visual media, such as TV films or sound images.

d.Various learning media

This type of learning media is a medium that is defeated by its potential in an area, around schools or in other locations or in the community. Examples of various types of learning media include: The boards included in this media include blackboards, bulletin boards, flannel boards, magnetic boards, electric boards, and nail boards.Three-dimensional media include models, mock ups, and dioramas.

e. Photographic Image

This type of learning media comes from several sources, for example from newspapers, paintings, cartoons, illustrations. The photos obtained from these various sources can be used by teachers effectively in teaching and learning activities with specific objectives.

f. Map and globe

The next type of learning media is a map and globe. This learning media serves to present an overview and data of a location.

2. The function of media in learning, namely: As a tool to convey messages conveyed by teachers and Clarify messages so that they are not too verbalistic. Overcoming space, time, energy and senses, arousing passion for learning, direct interaction between students and learning resources.

Criteria of good teaching media is in accordance with the objectives to be achieved, the media to be used is in accordance with the learning process, is able to support the content and learning materials, the media is easy to obtain, in access, use does not take a long time, according to the situation of learning media by way of thinking students, according to the situation and environmental conditions, according to the abilities of the teachers, and the effectiveness of using media in learning.

In line with the development of science and technology (IPTEK), the use of visual media is complemented by audio. Until now, the use of learning aids or media has become more extensive and interactive, such as computers and the internet, By developing the media, the learning process becomes more interesting so that it encourages students to love science. Students' habits of learning from these various sources will be able to instill the attitude of students to always take the initiative to find the various learning resources needed.
