1.      What is media in teaching? how many teaching media types do you know, explain!

Answer: Learning media is a tool to convey messages or learning materials that can stimulate thoughts, feelings, attention and abilities or skills of students so that they can encourage the learning process. There are several teaching media that I know of, namely, the first is visual media is a medium for conveying messages both verbally (spoken language or words) and non-verbally (sounds and vocalizations), examples of audio media commonly used for teaching media is a telephone and language laboratory. The second visual media is a teaching medium that only relies on still images, such as slides, photos, pictures, paintings, graphics, charts, diagrams, posters, maps and printed books. The third audio-visual media is media capable of displaying sound and images, for example film, television, video and most recently, E-Learning is an educational system that uses electronic applications to support teaching and learning using internet media, internet networks, cellphones or computer.

 

2.      Why teacher needs media in teaching?

Answer: In my opinion, the media in learning is very important because between teaching and teaching media it is very closely related and certainly can make it easier for teachers to convey their learning material optimally, can attract students 'interest in learning, can overcome students' passive attitudes by presenting media Fun, creative and innovative learning also creates learning motivation in students, and can overcome the limitations of space and time so that students will not feel bored and tired in the teaching and learning process.

 

3.      what are the criteria of good teaching media?

Answer: The criteria for a good learning media are that it must be in accordance with the objectives to be achieved and in accordance with the learning process, able to support learning content and materials, easy to obtain, easy to access, use does not take a long time, is in accordance with the situation and environmental conditions and is practical , flexible and also durable.

 

4.      Do you think that teaching media needs to be developed? Why?

Answer: The development of teaching media is very important because by developing the media, the learning process becomes more interesting so that it encourages students to love science. The habits of students to learn from various sources will be able to instill attitudes towards students to always take the initiative to seek various learning sources what is needed, students are more motivated so that attention to the material will increase, so that students can carry out up-to-date media interactions and make it easier to consume the information conveyed.
