The things that influence the occurrence of these misunderstandings are usually due to differences in language, stereotypes in society, prejudices against a culture, racism, ethnocentrism, social anxiety and a lack of sense of Cultural Self-Awareness, examoles of misunderstandings that occur are for example due to different perceptions of something because every culture has different views in the assessment of an object or event. Answer : In social psychology, a stereotype is an over-generalized belief about a particular category of people. It is an expectation that people might have about every person of a particular group. For example Stereotypes say that in doing business, ethnic Chinese often cheat and like to bribe the authorities to get economic concessions so that it makes them quickly successful, in fact not all ethnic Chinese are like that. And Prejudice means making decisions before a disaster of relevant facts about the object,For example when a child always gets exposure to bad comments about a tribe, he may then share a bad prejudice against that tribe later.
