1. In understanding foreign cultures some one needs to understand well the culture to avoid cultuural conflict but many people are failed to understand the values and customs of foreign cultures. According to your own idea ,please explain what do you need to have to understand foreign cultures in order to avoid cultural avoid.?
To understand foreign culture,,we must know to understand carefully in choosing positive or negative things in that foreign culture,we must be able to expand our knowledge of the foreign culture that accept maintaining nationallism and tolerance but not criticizing the foreign culture, knowing that foreign culture we can improve ourselves to be better.we can find out about that foreign culture through the TV ,film and youtobe ect.
2.How do you define your local culture is different from foreign culture? do you think local culture and foreign cultures need to be intergrated ? please provide your reason?
It seems to me that the local culture nd foreign culture have different roles an that they all have one things in commond but there are some that have different values foreign cultures are more open thank our own local values are fill of the norms and values of our ancestors.Local culture and foreign culture may be can integrated because there are still some positive things that we can take and enter into our culture.
3. What iss stereotype and prejudice? does it exist in your culture? give example?
Stereotype is a person assesment of a group according to their perceptions. for example people assume that the chinese are sstigy and good at trading even though not all chinese are like that.
Prejudice is the nature of a person's prejudice againts a certain group because they only see perseption of the previous group's attitudes and views without caring about the truth or the specific nature of the individual itself. for example pekanbaru people are with malay. so if we mention Pekanbaru people will immediately say that we are malay people.
And stereotype and prejudice exist in our culture
