Thesis Satetement: Several reasons why covid 19 is difficult to overcome

Corona virus was first identified by WHO in the city of Wuhan, China. And the WHO notes, the number of cases that have been converted by this corona virus has exceeded SARS, with details of 1,200,000 cases of coroan virus and 8,096 cases of SARS on April 5, 2020. As for several reasons why this type of virus is difficult to treat is due to the symptoms that show almost similar to the common cold, the spread of the virus is much faster than previous types of viruses, lack of knowledge and public awareness about the dangers of this deadly virus and the delay of the government in making decisions.

First of all, common symptoms that will be experienced by someone infected with this virus are fever, cough, shortness of breath, to breathing difficulties. And these symptoms are almost similar to the symptoms of the common cold. This makes people not aware whether he has been infected with this virus or not. And even this type of virus can spread even before someone infected has symptoms.

Second, the spread of this virus is much faster when compared to the types of viruses that have been there before. According to recent research studies, the protein contained in this virus has a special area or a denser ridge. This makes it easier to stick to human cells compared to other types of corona viruses. And when this virus attaches to human cells, it has the ability to infect better and is able to spread faster.

In addition, the lack of public knowledge and awareness about the dangers of this deadly virus also greatly influences why the spread of this type of virus is difficult to stop. When the health protocol ordered to always use a mask and maintain health, the public did not heed the health protocol recommendations. So that every day the increase in people infected with this virus is increasing. Even when the government issued a decision to lock down by dismissing schools and also closing down companies and even implementing PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions), again the community did not really do it well. In fact, they took the time to play to the Mall or other recreational areas, and many even went home to the yard.

Finally, when this virus first spread in China in December 2019, the government did not immediately take action, for example by giving a ban on going abroad and when finally this virus managed to infect more than 200 countries, then they realized that it turned out that this type of virus could not trivial. In fact, there are some areas which are too late to lock down, so that the spread is easier and faster.

The conclusion is, this type of virus is very dangerous especially because this type of virus can spread without symptoms so that it often does not realize that someone has already been infected with this virus so to overcome it is not merely done by health workers or the government. However, raising awareness together by still following the health protocol recommendations by still wearing a mask, doing physical distancing, while maintaining health and cleanliness so that the spread of this virus can be resolved immediately.
