The impact of the corona virus on the world

Corona virus is a large family of viruses that cause disease in humans and animals.  Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome / Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).  A new type of corona virus found in humans since an extraordinary event appeared in Wuhan China, in December 2019, was later given the name Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV2), and caused Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19).  Corona virus has many negative impacts on human life.

The first Since the emergence of the Corona virus shocked the world, the need for masks has increased.  The reason is, everyone wants to protect themselves from the various possibilities of the Corona virus transmission.  But the amount of stock that was unable to be sufficiently high demand then made the price of masks soared. As the basic principle of the economy, high demand that is not accompanied by high supply will make a product have a higher bargaining value.  In Indonesia the price of a mask in a box of type N95 masks can cost up to Rp1.5 million.

The second is medical personnel experiencing physical and mental fatigue.  Medical professionals, both doctors and nurses, are at the forefront of the 'war' against the corona virus.  They do work that millions of lay people cannot do.  They have the expertise, knowledge, and skills that are qualified to deal with patients infected with the corona virus. The number of corona patients is increasing every day forcing medical workers to work extra hard.  This clearly causes fatigue both physically and psychologically.  They are also threatened to experience stress, heartache, frustration, and even depression. This condition is exacerbated by the lack of availability of medical equipment needed to protect themselves such as masks and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).  Though they are the group most vulnerable to contracting the virus.  Sure enough, not a few doctors and nurses infected with the corona virus and some of them died while on duty. The grief felt by the medical staff must not only lose colleagues and fear of being infected, but also must be far from family.  Most of them do not dare go home and prefer to remain in the hospital.  They position themselves as carriers (carriers of the virus) at risk of transmitting it to their families.

 Third, the business industry affected by the corona virus. The application of social distancing, and physical distancing certainly limit the mobility and mobility of the people.  Lockdown even results in the community not being able to do activities outside the home even for those who are day laborers or street vendors. Recognized or not many parties who feel the negative effects of the corona virus pandemic today.  The income of the community is clearly decreasing, especially for those who earn daily income such as day laborers, street vendors, online motorcycle taxis, parking attendants, and others.

So this plague or virus has a terrible effect.  The impact is certainly felt directly by the community individually.  Therefore, it is better to start taking care of our health early on.  Follow all instructions from relevant parties and remember Don't forget to wash your hands, keep your distance and keep clean.
